Yes, these 2 are quality. I would bet a lot the 2nd one I pictured is a Henckels made for them.
Honing this #142 was a real pleasure, esp as it was in such good condition.

Yes. I have found that John S Holler was an importer from 1867 until 1906 at 94 Duane Street in NYC. This one is clearly marked Germany on the back side tang.

I have had a set of picbone Holler scales for years sitting in a really nice Holler box.
Same for a Simmons Keenkutter blade. Languishing in it's box.
Lately, I finally found some cool scales...
