Possible late 1800's. The box says England as I suspect the tang does. Post 1891. Could be 30 years newer though. The style is of later Wostenhom.

That is a more "modern" grind IXL. It will make an excellent shaver. Round pointed and with double stabilizers. I would say anything goes. Bone would be nice.
