Hmmm i have this kind of cleaning wheel that i atatch in a drill and use some brown compound thats just for cleaning and a cotton wheel that i use a blue compund with thats for polishing, it works...

Maybe you can dull it down a little bit and hone its up later? its a shame such a beautiful razor would now be used.

Maybe you should try to give it a bit of hand polishing with some turtle wax or something like that? it would be to bad to scratch up the whole blade with some sandpaper..
