The anatomy of a tusk is actually quite interesting (at least to me)
The nerve runs the entire lenth and exits at the tip,Elephants can actually feel with Their tusks like we can with our fingers....

It will be black and hollow.may work out.maybe not.

Found this an interesting feature,the dark line is the tusk nerve root,the top cap will have the same,going to try and save them in the finished handle.
