As I recall the knot was set at 42mm?,main Prob may be in setting it higher to hide the residual glue line.

That works,Great job.If the epoxy is not overdone, you can get knots out in several ways.
What amazes me is people use way to much Epoxy to hold a knot that wgts 1/2 Oz. 2 ton Epoxy.
