    How thick are the scales?you can easily sand them...

    How thick are the scales?you can easily sand them down to about .085 if you have enough material.

    JMO, but when dealing with any natural animal...

    JMO, but when dealing with any natural animal product,(Ivory, Horn, Bone etc) less is always more.
