No pete,it is not paint or enamel.

Makes you wonder how Wacker did this,is almost like a black chrome coating of sorts.

Would love to see someone do some real rust bluing using nitric acid,is messy,dangerous,time consuming work,but that old time winchester royal blue is to die for.
