There is no internal washers but they can be put in less than 10 seconds if neccesary (that's big advantage of adjustable pins).
Btw. this is just for showing up. I have to polish and hone blade too.

Finally, adjustable pins arrive so there is a final result (ignore the pitting on the blade it's in progress of restauration):
