I will be posting how I did these. I used diamond cutters. But for centuries it's been done with knives, scrapers, chisels .

I don't know the exact time. The carving itself...
I don't know the exact time. The carving itself went pretty quick. A few hrs. The cleaning up , sanding , refining the lines took more. Add in the scrim work and it all adds up. It was maybe 3-4 hrs...

French Razor with Carved Scales
I picked up a couple of French razors for some ideas I have. This one is stamped Imbert Aine 119 R. Monmartre, Paris.
It's a Faux frameback and it worked just fine. Sanded and polished the blade....
