Thanks. I had done some looking and had gotten dates of late 1700's to early 1800's. Seemed to be a lot of grey area as to the Packwoods.

Shod in purpleheart. Finished with only ren. wax.
My only complaint is I wish I new more about this blade and when it was from. Will be honing this tonight.
