    I don't think it's really a matter of "What's the best..." so much as "What works for YOU, the individual shaver. They're all Good.

    As for me...I've tried CrOx, Diamond, Newspaper, and Pencil Lead...

    I go with 20-30 laps on a PbO coated linen strop...

    I go with 20-30 laps on a PbO coated linen strop then 75-100 laps on leather. Never fails to do the job of refreshing a slightly dull blade..
