thanks for your inputs. i figured breadknifing would be too extreme. once i invest in a set of hones, i'll try to work on it. but for now it is working out great.

i had another great shave with this razor today. it definitely could use a little work, but all in all, for the price i payed, so far its great.

yeah that's true. they are pretty flimsy though, and the pins are pretty frail still. maybe i'll de-pin it and shine up the blade. then i'll put the scales back on with better pins.

this might actually be a 4/8". i measured it to be 6/8" but its smaller than my 5/8" Dovo. i can't wait to get it cleaned up!
