At 6' 4" I guess I'm built right for the 29er. I've never had any issues with it being cumbersome, I think the improvements in frame geometry in the last few years have really sorted the bugs.

My bike has 29" rims with 2.1" wide tyres. Stick that on a 23" frame and I'm left with an intimidating bike.

Given the conditions here lately I think maybe bigger ratio! Slushy snow and mud meaning back wheel spinning out, I'm struggling to do more than stay still sometimes. All great fun though!

I must admit most my riding is commuting, about 100 miles per week. With maybe 20 more off road if I can. I live right on the edge of well established trails so am very lucky 10 yards from my house...

Thanks! I love it. in the UK we can get bikes tax free if they are used for commuting to work. I pay £17 or 28 USD a month for a year and get that little beauty for it.

I only started cycling 6 months or so ago, I do almost 20 miles a day to work and back and have recently started going off road at weekends. I love it. :)

It's held up fantastically. It is a little sluggish I guess but once it gets going it really takes very little effort to keep it going, there really is a noticeable kick when it hits the higher...

I recently got a fuji 29er (29" wheels) mountain bike for getting to and from work, doing just short of twenty miles a day. It's amazing how quick the fitness builds up.
