Well after honing the Frameback It was time to test shave. while both were passable, neither was what I prefer. not harsh but not quite "there" and hitting. I will try to get a little more...

Well the 1/4 hollow Wosty was the first to the hones today. Under magnification I found a bunch of micro chips to the edge.
Start off 1 layer of tape followed by about 600 circles ish on the 4K...

remember this is only a 4K/8K hone trial. no 1K.

As glen and lynn have mentioned, you will "kill" the edge once it is honed on the 4K. For me this is all about how far I can push my 4K/8K combination in my honing.

If this is your start to honing, then you are going to have fun(and frustration) a word or caution though. Choose two razors that are not that precious to you. My first hone was a bit ugly!
