I purchased some 80, 120, 180, 240 grit sandpaper and lapped the hell out of this thing. i would have removed another 1/8" and there is still...

I thought i would put one more post about the Ice Bear stone on here.

I will try and describe the feeling of the stone a little more.. see if you guys have any other ideas.

I will give in and im getting the Shapton stones... do you recommend getting the holder for them? $70 for a holder is steep lol but they are small stones

I am considering the naniwa setup.. what doe you feel would last the longest? I guess I'm trying to think of what ever i get as an investment rather then a beginners setup... something that i will...

Since you have tested most the stones, if all you stones went missing and you had to start again from scratch. what setup would you choose? just as a personal choice obviously?

i have lapped all the stones, i used a pencil and marked the stones. lapped until the markings went away (and the king branding)

I cant get an 'ok' result from the 1200 - 6k and i could properly...

What about the professional Shapton stones? dose anyone know the best place to...

From what i have been reading the 30k is an overkill, the 16k sounds good though :D
