Yes Solingen steel is great but the way Ed. Wusthoff temper their steel is really quite exceptional IMHO :)
I am yet to try a Carl Wustoff.

I like Wusthoff razors as well :)
This one looks to be a travel razor that is incomplete. The plastic upper part of the case would slide over the razor with the scales forming the base of the case....
