I do agree. The vintage Bismarck does a better job. However also the new one, properly honed, does a good job, although - in my opinion - not as good as the vintage one.

In my opinion the "old Bismarck" has a higher quality steel with a rounder and velvety touch. Of course, this also depends on honing, but - as far as I can tell - the old one is better.
