It is the two dings on the toe, Correct? I don't think trying to repair the edge would be a good start to honing. Honing is a learning curve and repairing...

I'm looking on an iPad. At first I was looking at the spine until I realized the blade is spine down.

3rd image on the toe, looks like two dents or nicks. Not real bad. :)
