I plan on this being my first razor I will do a FULL restore with custom scales.

Looked more closely at the stamp on the tang and you can see it says "sons" you can barely see it but theres definitely a faint S at the beginning.

and about it looking like it would be too long...

I was thinking it was a sheffield with that spine profile. the blade is VERY close to the bottom of the scales.

I don't like the idea of a franken-razor, I may make a set of scales for this blade...

I was 90% sure this wasnt a BB when I bid on it, but I knew it was big and in decent shape. Now the question is, what is this razor?
The blade is 8/8 at the toe down to 7/8 at the heel with a sway...
