They all feel good in the hand.
The Simms has a bone bottom that took a nice shine.
The two clear acrylics had nylon knots originally and I'll be putting cream white synthetics in them.

A few brushes ready for knots. The one on the far right has "Xmas 41 D.O. Johannes" scratched on the bottom.

Lots of good materials to be found at the thrift stores. I have half a closet stacked full of potential scale material. Just need to find the time and spare blades so I can make room for more ;)

The big one still has the price tag, 1.99, pricy but you can get more than a few scales from the 12 x 18 size. I have 3 plus of those. The little one, I found at another thrift store years...
