It's worth a shot I suppose. Just make sure they're lapped. I prefer 3m 320 grit sandpaper from home depot. It's in a purple package and the sandpaper is red. PM me if you need some.

I am not familiar with your hones, but if you get the hone itch, a norton 4k/8k combination or naniwa 5k and 8k hones will treat you very well.
