Yea I was reffering to the manufacturers branding on the tang. As you guys are saying, if its worn off, its worn off unless its gunk thats over it. Thanks for the info!

For those of us purchasing old, vintage razors, is there a way to restore branding that has worn off or is that just dependant upon how hard the maker branded the name when making the razor?
