in my opinion your hones dont really sound suitable for razors. they will need lapping dead flat if they are dished from whatever you do at work. do they have a grit grade on them?

ideally you dont want to use a hone less than 1k and you will need an 8k atleast for a finisher

I strongly recommend you send one to Razor Honing for a professional honing so you have a benchmark as it will not be as sharp as your shavette. Post some pictures of your razors and let us know what...
