Looks like a very nice stone as well! I wish there was some way to preserve the kanji on the base stone after lapping, but oh well (mine dissappeared)...

So it's normal that the Tomo looks a little different as it's a softer stone?

Here's a pic of my Shouby all lapped up w/the Tomo prepped...You can see how the Tomo is darker in color...I assume...

Yeah, I just spoke with Maksim and he said he sent me 2 Mejiros by accident. Oh well that's okay, I can still use the stone as a finisher until I get a Tenjyou..

Well I got the stone..that was FAST shipping!! Now I have one problem; I can't tell which nagura is which (Tenjyou or Mejiro)...Maybe you guys could help me figure out which one is which?
