ok so although i didnt feel i needed to do as many strokes as i did this is what the razor was
!(last time it was honed)
1) bevel set on "La Veinette" coti
2) 30 strokes light slurry with...

i actually have a black escher/thuri coming from him also !!..

had to run my beloved Greaves 7/8 across it a few times to see what happens .. i use this razor about 95% of the time so we are familiar with...
