Ive seen that model before. Theres a ton of Japanese framebacks from unknown makers. As Jamie said it's not from a well known maker but that doesn't mean it wont shave well.

Hey Dan, thats a kamisori with scales, 99% of kamisoris have an asymmetrical grind like yours. Typically the shorter less concaved side goes against your mug to shave with and receives more honing...

Iwasakis are wonderful to hone, glad yours was too. I love the white scles too, you don't see them that often.

My latest japanese acquisition a Saito sk1.
As its a Christmas present to myself I will have to wait until then to use it :(

I forgot to mention your Giyana Jamie. I'd say so, there's a fair few japanese razors that could easily come from the same maker.

Heres my latest japanese straight a NOS Tahei 泰平 , 1/4 hollow, was a joy to hone.
They are very similar to the Eiko glory and a spit of Yasuhiras.
