Actually, there's no spike on mine. The toe has clearly been muted to 45 degrees by a good 1/16. The toe on ffarouki's picture also looks muted the same way. I had a look at some pictures on the web...

No earlier then 2 hours ago, I picked mine up from the post office. I got the Iwasaki 50mm without the wrapping.

I'm sure this is going to be a fun blade to use!
