I agree. It has the original "bluing" on the tang. If you are careful with your cleaning you should be able to save that. Tape is often helpful when preserving such things. Looks good.

If you check the stamp on the back it will tell you who owed the company at the time, more or less. For example if it says Bresnick on the back you can do a search and it will tell you what years...
