    I agree. It has the original "bluing" on the tang. If you are careful with your cleaning you should be able to save that. Tape is often helpful when preserving such things. Looks good.

    Well I didn't know that was original. In the sellers pics you really can't see that at all, they probably took the pics at an angle to make it appear shinier. I'll get some oil on it soon to keep the little bit of rust starting on it at bay. One of the scales is slightly warped but I've read some tips for taking care of that problem fairly easily. Thanks for the compliment and the info rezdog.
