The blade is about 2 years old I think and I learnt to hone with it, un even pressure, un flattened stones, too much pressure , its been honed many many times.
I think the picture on the Baxters...

post 11 is a new un honed blade with a straight spine, the Not a replica blades have a curved spine.

It was from the first picture I posted (with the taped spine) that I noticed the dipped spine.
I never realised that before.
However I'd still lay money on the wonkey bevel and spurred heel being...

Could the problem have occurred because the spine isn't straight..
You can see it dips in the middle

This would mean setting the bevel with no circles..jeez :/
