Well I've finally got it finished. My first attempt at scale making and I'm quite pleased with how it came out.

The scales are streaked horn with a horn wedge and pinned with brass.

Life keeps getting in the way! Scales are cut and drilled but need a bit more profiling before fine finishing. When I got the blade out to size the scales I found fine black corrosion on some parts...

It's a 1/4 hollow. The point is described as schorkopf french on the website. In reality none of it is really that scary, I just need to do it justice when I make the scales !
