Koraat Project
Got this 8/8 1/4 hollow in the post today. Excellent workmanship. Even without honing it shaves the back of my hand from the quality of the grind alone. Sadly I don't think I'll have time to make scales before January but I think this is going to be a favourite!

Thanked: 237So can anyone order the blade only? I'd like to buy just the blade because I like building my own scales. These razors look amazing!

Ulrik is great to deal with. He has a blade configurator on his website which gives all the options for size, grind and finish. He is happy to do a blade alone or fully finished razor. I wanted to get a bit hands on with making a razor but I cant imagine making my own blades. I can certainly imagine getting more of his blades though!

The Koraat site is pretty cool. Their work looks very precise.

Wait till you shave with it!!!
I have two 8/8 Koraat customs. I have to tell you that of the 35 razors that I own, nothing comes close to the shave that I get with them. They are truly superb razors in every way. Ulrik is a master craftsman and an absolute pleasure to deal with.
Enjoy!!

I like the blade shape. What is the grind? The spiked heel looks a little scary. You prompted me to visit his website. Thanks for sharing.

Is it possible for a razor to be too perfect? I don't know. I've only wielded vintage blades so I have paradigm paralysis to some extent. I know this because I saw a Brian Brown razor where he left the tang and tail unpolished. I instantly liked this look. Why? Because it looked more like a vintage razor, at least mine.
To me the jimps look largely, symbolic.Last edited by WW243; 12-06-2015 at 06:54 PM.
