+1 to a shave test consisting on a single stroke...simple and easy. Just prep one area and see how it feels.

Don't take this the wrong way but...why would you go up to a 30K instead of stopping at 8K and then doing a shave test like recommended? How are you going to figure out where the issue is? You say...
