I have some extra shrink tubing in the garage. I'll try that on one of the arms. I'll also try the felt and see which one "looks" better.

I was planning on gluing some felt to the inside of the metal holders. Right now my brushes are not being damaged by the holders, but if and when I get more exotic material, I will definitely glue...
