I was shown a razor with a fairly heavily worked...
I was shown a razor with a fairly heavily worked spine. But I was a proper custom ie made from scratch, so the maker was able to put a flat honing / stropping spine edge lower than all the working....

I am assuming you mean the engraving bit, I should I suppose qualify that statement, if you can freehand nicely then all well and good, but the letter size, spacing and forms really... -
