Do you do a multiple pass shave? Or does one pass with your exquisitely stropped, blunt razor remove all of your girly bumfluff :).

I believe that it would be the start of a slippery slope. I don't believe most people with large quantities of hones purchased them all at once.
I would venture a guess that as new hones come into...

The razors still have nice edges, so I don't want to jeopardise tbat, as I am rotating a loaner from Carl, and the bone one from you i should be right for a while. The plastic razor is my Perth one...

I have some Welsh slate of unknown grit. I only Intend to to refresh my edges, if a proper honing is required then auspost will be better off to the tune of $20.

I didn't end up with a Norton in the end, I got a naniwa 10k, and an Atoma 400g lapping plate. But even that's probably old hat.

Oh keep up Mick, Norton's are so last week. All the cool kids are sourcing 1000,000,000,000 grit hones made from frozen unicorn tears these days.

The quartons aren't recommended because the technique required on Such a short hone isn't necessarily the same as that used on full size, or that's pretty much what I got from a different thread some...

I guess it depends on how fancy you want to go with the fear I suppose, the Norton set for $130 would be ok, I don't know about the history of honing but I can't imagine that massively fine grit...

Where in Australia can I get a reasonably priced Norton set, found one on amazon fir $130 but they won't ship to me, I have seen them for around $230 Australian but that is too much. Any good advice...
