There is a Dovo 5/8 PEARLEX on eBay for $70 / free shipping. Not shave ready. It's about $140 new. The basic Dovo should be around $100 shave ready from SRD.

My opinion is 1/2 hollow.

If you are going new I would suggest Ralf Aust or Dove in 5/8 or 6/8. No need to go for the top models. Entry level will do and save money. You will need a strip, brush soap and bowl.
