yep it has stiffened back up, it still has a slight flex but it is not as hard or stiff as the Faux MOP & other acrylics I have, let alone my natural Ivory scales

Lads just a note on the flap disks, we use these a lot at work for finishing steel jobs, No way in hell would I go anywhere near a razor with a flap disk on a grinder These are usually 60 - 180 grit...

I say the Draco would be fitting Bruno

Been cleaning up this Viscount Rolls Razor, came with all the box and paper work in great shape.
The body is aluminium, hone is intact but the strop needs some work the glue stuff that was holding...

Started some new scales for this resto tonight, wedge less buffalo with reclaimed pewter inlay

this weeks progress ground to 1/16" blade edge,
clay coated using the high temp mortar,
heated in forge to Critical/non magnetic, then soaked a minute,
quenched in warmed Canola oil about 10...

my first straight "DC1" forged on the weekend, shaped & ground to a true flat wedge the other night
now started hollow grinding it last night with my mind numbingly slow & gutless cheapo belt...

as far as I can tell they are all original steel dome washers & brass pins & lead wedge

I didn't remove them for that very reason, I did want it altered or to screw the washers...
