I've seen guys do that with hail dents using inverted air duster cans of gas as the quick cold.
Thermal shock can work wonders. Should see what it does to 'the boys' In cold lake water, hehehe. -

Finally got back to these and popped them off...
Finally got back to these and popped them off with much dremel carving and relief work from the inside.
They did not come out nearly as easily as my first rubberset reno did, but out they came... -
