I'm thinking of maybe getting the handle re-wrapped and this time slightly higher. The wrapping also came slightly scratchy and worn, not sure what the deal is.. Also very worried...

You see how the part near the spine is painted black, a tiny dot seems to have fell right above the handle wrap.. It's just a dot but doesn't picture well for SOTD ;)
