nope that's how it came :D The only defect was a small chip on the point. Less than 0.5mm so that's been removed.

I've done a little cleaning, And it's already had a hone.

I'd normally break out the autosol, This razor shouldn't have any etching so it's not going to damage it. I should have it Friday or Saturday depending on the post and if someone is at home to sign...
