For me nicks and scrapes take a few days to heal all the way. I found in a couple places that I was just re-injuring an old ding. They look Ok but after a razor pass they weep again.

I shave about every three days which is not enough hands on practice for me (heavy handed slow learner). I bread knifed a GD razor and practice grip/angle/pressure with both hands. It has helped...
