Default How do I get in more practice?

I started straight shaving back in Nov. 2014, my razors give me such a great shave I'm not having to shave as much as I did with the cartridge. So how do I get the much needed practice? I'm down to one or two nicks per shave and I do two passes, or just clean up what I can see or feel. Thanks in advance, oh I shave my head and face, head every 3 or 4 days face 2 or 3.

    I wish I had that problem, but I don't.

I'd say if you want more practice, just shave sometimes when you don't "need" it. The practice will keep yu smoother than you are now and you'll learn what works and ingrain it in your muscle memory.

I shave about every three days which is not enough hands on practice for me (heavy handed slow learner). I bread knifed a GD razor and practice grip/angle/pressure with both hands. It has helped develop muscle memory especially with my non-dominant hand.

I shave every 2-3 days, but "1-2 nicks per shave" is insane.... I don't get any nicks (unless something went really wrong .... go slow and pay attention.... stop nicking yourself!!! lol

For me nicks and scrapes take a few days to heal all the way. I found in a couple places that I was just re-injuring an old ding. They look Ok but after a razor pass they weep again.

The idea is to avoid them in the first place. If I nick myself, I believe I screwed something up.
