Thanks for the knowledge guys! Can't wait to start paying brushes that I've made. As walleyeman puts it I'll be making plenty of pretty firewood before that happens but it's a start!

No kidding on not being cheap. But at the same time I could avoid spending on the stuff to hone

Yes I was trying to figure out which was the best route to take for honing... There many options out there. Have taken a long look at the chisels with changeable tips.

Thanks. The wood (poplar) is a little rough almost looks torn out in places. Guessing that is from the chisels not being sharp enough?

Just a harbor freight special and some Chinese chisels.

No it's not a humongous brush haha. Just some playing around with my first lathe. Hopefully will be turning brush handles soon!
