Just what I needed to hear. :) I had the same concern, the etch looked way too close to the edge.

I also notice the spine on mine doesn't have the curve yours does.

A philosophy of "do no harm" leads me to do nothing to these two razors but some Mother's polish. The scratches and pits they have are so minor, any work on them might detract more than improve.
