A couple of "do nothing" razors
A philosophy of "do no harm" leads me to do nothing to these two razors but some Mother's polish. The scratches and pits they have are so minor, any work on them might detract more than improve.

Both are classy razors. I love the etching on old razors!

very nice looking pair there
love the Diamond edge
most of my personal razors if in good shape are kept at the minimalist approach as I love to keep there character & the aged look, so a clean & polish only with a hone usually
but if the scales have to come off or need replacing then shinny they shall be LOLSaved,
to shave another day.

Wow - two classy razors, the diamond edge has that unique rattler grind I believe it's called, they look fantastic.

Thanked: 5I have a Wolstenhome & Sons original pipe razor in similar condition. When you put it in perspective, for its age, it looks great so I left it alone and it shaves like a dream.
In my opinion patina is character earned by an instrument made with enough quality to stand the test of time. IMHO enjoy it as it is.

Thanked: 2284A couple of great razors there Hart. I have a Wostenholm with the same etch. I find it odd that its so close to the edge. When I got mine I initially thought it was from being honed so many times, but it has hardly any ( hone wear.) After seeing others, and now yours, they all seem to be done the same.
Sorry, I'm just thinking out loud.
