I did not know there was shaving oil. I had only heard about oils in pre and post shave context.

The lather in the bowl seems to do fine. Just the face dries. Probably doesn't help that my bathroom/bedroom is an open design so keeping the humidity up after a shower doesn't really happen either.

Yeah. If i didn't know someone already working where i am i probably would have had a pretty hard time as well.

So i found today that i had not been using enough water with the TOBS creme. I added more water and it held up much better. I also shaved right after a shower which also seemed to have helped.

I just switched to Taylor of old bond street sandalwood shave cream. before i was using Van der Hagen shave soap.

So I am still chasing a good lather but on thing i have had issues with is that i get halfway through my shave and have to reapply to the other side of my face due to it drying out. I live in...
