The one and only time I developed skin rash from a shaving product was from Proraso Pre-shave.
Didn't think it could be Proraso, but stopped using it for a while anyway and...

Very helpful early on in one's shaving career.

But when sufficiently prepping the beard with hot water and soap, and with improved pre-shave and shaving techniques the benefit diminishes.
