Proraso pre shave
I would be interested in people's views on this, does it help or is it just another way of getting money from my account to theirs

I find that when I use the pre shave together with the Proraso shaving cream I end up getting really smooth and BBS shaves. It does the trick for me, especially with longer growth. Obviously, best way to know is to try it at least once...won't break the bank. In my view, much better than pre shave oils.

Thanked: 171Very helpful early on in one's shaving career.
But when sufficiently prepping the beard with hot water and soap, and with improved pre-shave and shaving techniques the benefit diminishes.

Thanked: 4I feel it makes a difference in smoothness. I shower, wash my face, pat it somewhat dry and then rub the pre/post all over the shave area and let it sit for a while, while prepping the brush and soap. I then rinse with cold water and shave. My face is moisturized and also refreshingly cool from the menthol and the cold water.

This stuff does help , I ues it still sometimes as a post shave when I feel a little more irritation, but what I did find out is , if you like this Proraso pre/post cream , just buy Noxema face cream , same ingredients and at a1/4 the price I felt it did help when my technique and lather abilities were not up to par , not I only use if I got to aggressive and feel the irritation , It does cool it down and then some after shave balm ,, Tc

I have both the white and the green pre-shave and like to use it with their matching soaps when I have the time for a nice long, luxurious shave. I think it does help cushion the first pass and helps prepare the beard. I rub it in then get my soap ready in my scuttle.

It may work for some people, but it didn't work for me. I never noticed any difference in the shaves.
I still have it and use it in rare occasions, just to give it another shot, but it doesn't help. You can take the boy out of NY, but you can't take NY out of the boy.

I find it does help soften the beard more, I tend to use it when I do not have time for a hot shower before a shave.
