I agree, it's his to do what he wants with. But...
I agree, it's his to do what he wants with. But why not use the side of a single grit stone, if you use synthetics that is. Or a skinny coticule? Skinny stones can accomplish things that a wide one...

Doesn't appear to have any unusual hone wear to me. Why not use a special stroke on the hone vs grinding metal off the blade?
